Information for Referring Providers
A Collaborative Approach to Root-Cause Medicine, Advanced Therapies & Whole-Person Care
At Helixona, we believe the future of medicine is collaborative. We partner with physicians, specialists, and healthcare teams to offer advanced diagnostics, integrative treatments, and root-cause evaluation that complement—not compete with—your existing care. We understand how challenging it can be to support patients with complex, multi-system illness or those who need therapies beyond what a traditional clinic can provide. Our model is designed to extend your toolkit, provide additional clinical insights, and give your patients access to treatments that can meaningfully change their trajectory.
Three Paths to Healing at Helixona
Helixona’s care model is organized into three levels to provide clarity and appropriate patient placement.
Level 1: Complex Chronic Illness Care
Managed by: Eduard Drannikov, MD.
For patients with:
- Multi-system chronic illness
- Persistent inflammation, immune dysregulation, or autonomic imbalance
- Mold toxicity, Lyme, MCAS, POTS, severe fatigue, or complex neurological symptoms
- Extensive prior workup with limited improvement
These patients require deep, ongoing, structured care with frequent therapies and advanced diagnostics.
- For Level 1 referrals, Dr. Drannikov becomes the patient’s managing physician.
- We provide root-cause evaluation, intensive treatment planning, and ongoing management.
- With patient consent, we will share findings and major updates with you.
Level 2: Collaborative Care for Referring Providers
Designed specifically to support external physicians
Level 2 is for patients whose primary medical management remains with you, while they receive specific treatments, therapies, or diagnostics at Helixona.
Common reasons for Level 2 referral:
- The patient needs insurance-covered IVs you do not administer in your clinic
- You want the patient to access advanced therapies such as:
- EBOO
- Frequency therapies
- Red light and laser therapies
- MEAD Analysis
- Other nervous system and mitochondrial-supportive modalities
- EBOO
- You need help stabilizing the patient while you remain the primary physician
How Level 2 works
- The patient remains under your care as their primary doctor
- The patient is seen by Shannon Haliko, MD, who oversees safety and protocols for therapies
- We provide treatments and send patients back to you for ongoing care and decision-making
- With consent, we can share diagnostic findings and treatment summaries
Level 2 is the pathway most commonly used by referring physicians who want to maintain their relationship with the patient while expanding what is clinically possible.
Level 3: Wellness & Longevity Support
For patients who are not complex but want to:
- Optimize energy, performance, or sleep
- Support healthy aging and prevention
- Periodically access detox, immune support, or nervous system therapies
You may refer patients here when they do not require chronic illness management, but could benefit from our advanced modalities and structure.
How We Collaborate With Referring Providers
We honor the trust you extend when you refer a patient to us. Our collaboration is defined by:
Clear Roles
Level 1: We take over medical management (with patient consent and your support).
Level 2: You remain the main doctor; we provide therapies and diagnostics.
Level 3: We share in the wellness/longevity support, and you remain involved as desired.
We will never assume control of the patient’s overall care unless it is explicitly requested by you and/or the patient.
Transparent Communication
With patient consent, we are happy to share:
Diagnostic results (InBody, RightEye, ANS testing, MEAD, labs)
Functional neuro findings
Treatment recommendations and clinical impressions
Progress updates as appropriate
Honest Patient Placement
If a patient is not a good fit for Helixona, we will:
Let the patient know clearly and respectfully
Refer them back to you with any insights that may still be helpful
Suggest alternative directions if appropriate
How to Refer a Patient to Helixona
We’ve made the referral process straightforward so you and your staff can integrate it easily into your workflow.
Step 1: Send Pertinent Records
Please fax relevant records to: Fax: 888-355-7731. We recommend including:
Last 1–2 years of office notes related to the primary complaint
Recent labs (preferably within the past 12 months)
Imaging reports (MRI, CT, ultrasound, X-ray as relevant)
Diagnosis list and problem list
Current medication list and allergies
Step 2: Complete the Referring Provider Survey:
We ask that referring providers (or their staff) complete a short survey for each referred patient. This helps us:
Understand your primary concerns
Clarify what you hope we can provide (e.g., therapies only vs. full care management)
Align our work with your goals for the patient
(Your team can keep the survey link handy in your EMR notes or referral templates.)
Step 3: Submit Patient Information
Fax: 888-355-7731
Email: newpatients@helixona.com
Or via our Referring Provider Form on the website (if applicable)
Once received, our New Patient team will contact the patient directly to:
Explain what Helixona offers
Confirm insurance details
Schedule the appropriate level of care (Level 1, 2, or 3)
